SPORTS REHABILITATION SERVICES
Elevating physical therapy and rehabilitation
with specialized treatments and expertise.
Post-operative sports rehabilitation focuses on restoring function and performance after surgery. The process typically involves several key phases:
Immediate Recovery: This begins right after surgery, emphasizing pain management, swelling control, and early mobility. Gentle range-of-motion exercises may be introduced.
Strengthening and Stability: As healing progresses, the focus shifts to building strength in the affected area. This may include resistance training and stability exercises to support joint function.
Functional Training: This phase involves sport-specific movements to regain confidence and prepare the body for the demands of the sport. Drills and activities mimic the movements required in the athlete’s sport.
Return to Sport: Finally, athletes gradually return to their sport under professional guidance. This phase includes monitoring for any pain or issues and ensuring the athlete can perform safely and effectively.
Conservative care physical therapy focuses on non-surgical approaches to manage and treat musculoskeletal conditions. Key components include:
Assessment: A thorough evaluation of the patient's condition to identify issues and develop a personalized treatment plan.
Pain Management: Techniques such as modalities (heat, ice, ultrasound) and manual therapy to reduce pain and inflammation.
Customized Exercise Program: Tailored exercise programs aimed at improving strength, flexibility, and function, helping patients regain mobility and prevent further injury.
Functional Training: Activities that focus on improving daily living skills and sport-specific movements to enhance overall performance and quality of life.
Overall, the goal is to restore function, reduce pain, and improve the patient’s ability to engage in daily activities without surgery.

See What Our Clients Say About Us
I've been working with Dr. Ashley for 6 months now on post ACL-R rehab, and when I tell you she's the best, she's the best! The progress in my mobility and strength of my knee/quad is far better than I expected. I lost quite a bit of muscle on my quad from surgery, and I'm amazed at how far I have come in such little time. I have been to other PT practices before, and SandersFit is the best by a long shot. You are in good hands here! Not only is Dr. Ashley great, but so is everyone on her staff. Bri makes it so easy to schedule and is super quick and responsive. I could not recommend the SandersFit team more!
Dr. Macko is the most expert PT I’ve ever met. No exaggeration! I broke my hip in September of 2023 and couldn’t walk for 3 months. I spent 5 months working with him and saw him 20 times, the most my insurance would allow.
What I immediately noticed is that he knew anatomy like he was a human textbook. Any little complaint or struggle I had was met with “I think this is why, and here’s how we can adjust to fix that.” And his adjustments always targeted the difficulty as desired.
He’s super friendly, and I could tell he actually cared about my life and my recovery.
Now I’m a year post-injury and I can run and ride at 90% strength and I am getting stronger every day. If I ever need PT, and I hope not obviously, but I will definitely be back.
Our 15-year-old daughter has been attending SandersFit for a couple months now (following an intense knee surgery), and we could NOT be more grateful!!! Their innovative techniques combined with their high energy, dedication, and extensive experience have made every single session encouraging, motivating and fun!! The results we have seen in these two months have blown us away and given us great confidence in her path forward to full recovery!! What a gift to have such an awesome rehab location available, it is truly unlike anywhere we’ve attended in the past.
